After hours of relentless effort by the London fire brigade service to combat the Grenfell tower fire accident hundreds of the roughly 500 residents in the block remain unaccounted for but lasted report confirm the death toll has risen to 17. Some have estimated that the death toll could rise above 100 as the whereabouts of whole families remains unknown Seventeen people remain critically ill in hospital.
Meanwhile, more than £1 million has been raised to help those affected by the blaze, while volunteers and charities helped feed and shelter people who could not return to their homes overnight.
