It has been a dark and trying time for the entire family of the late channel’s TV reporter Precious Owolabi who was hit by a straight bullet during the clash between men of Nigeria Police force and members of the Shiite group last week. In an effort to console the family of the bereaved, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo accompany by Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has visited the family of Precious Owolabi last weekend.
The vice-president also prayed God to comfort the family and loved ones, adding that the loss would never be forgotten.
He also engaged the father of the deceased, Ayo Owolabi in a heart-to-heart discussion.
A tweet on Osinbajo’s Twitter handle @ProfOsinbajo, reads: “Nothing will ever compare with the pain of losing a child.
“This evening, I visited the family of Precious Owolabi and as a nation, we grieve the loss of this bright young man.
“May the Almighty God comfort the family and loved ones.”
Recall that Owolabi was killed on Monday, July 22 when Police officers clashed with protesting Shiites members. The clash also claimed the life of a Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, FCT, Umar.
