The Chief Medical Doctor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo has revealed that late Isiaka Adeleke was given a fatal dose of banned injection. The CMD, Professor Akeem Lasisi told the coroner panel that the Chief Medical Director of Biket Hospital, Osogbo, Dr Adebisi Adenle, called him on the telephone on April 23 to tell him that Adeleke had died. It was said that the CMD, told the court that one of the aides of the late senator told him that the deceased complained of leg pain and somebody treated him. Lasisi said the aide told him that the person, who treated Adeleke was not a doctor but could not say if he was a nurse, Punch reports.
It was also gathered that the substance given could be helpful if given in smaller dosage but when given beyond required can be disastrous, perhaps that was the reason it was banned.
