The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has moved former Anambra Governor, Willie Obiano to its headquarters in Abuja.
EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, disclosed this to SaharaReporters on Friday.
Uwajaren said Obiano was still in detention and not released as reported by some newspapers.
He said the former governor would be interrogated on issues involving allegations of corruption.
He was accused of mismanaging over N17 billion Paris Club refund and security vote.
Obiano is also being probed over some suspicious projects, including the Umueri International Airport project whose cost was believed to be inflated.
EFCC operatives had picked him up at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, around 08:30 pm on Thursday.
He was on his way to Houston, Texas, US, after handing over to his successor, Governor Charles Soludo.
