Alex Iwobi was declared positive for COVID-19 in Benin during a general screening on Nigeria Super eagle team ahead of the Afcon Qualifier on Saturday. Returning back to Nigeria after the match, a second test was carried out to authenticate the test, but it returned negative.
Although some Nigerians have been suspicious of the test carried out by the Francophone country before the match.
Though he didn’t play but was isolated in the hotel room,
Iwobi has been declared fit and has been included in the squad to face Lesotho by 5 pm at the Teslim Balogun stadium for the last game of the AFCON qualifiers.
