Works Minister Dave Umahi says the Southeast is now in its rightful place in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu.
He said Tinubu has successfully ended marginalization of the zone by carrying its people along in the scheme of things.
Umahi spoke while inspecting ongoing federal projects in Ebonyi State at the weekend.
The projects include Onueke first section of the 465km Tran-Sahara super highway where a 25 -span bridge of 700 metre is being constructed, Onueke/Afikpo highway, Afikpo/Ndibe beach road, Ebonyi/Cross River beach bridge, Amasiri/Okigwe highway, among others.
Umahi said Southeast people should re-lect the President next year for doing ‘’so much’’ for them.
His words: “Mr. President has done so much for the Southeast and I want you people to broadcast what he is doing for us.
“Let our people that are not here who are on social media know that the tide has changed and we are now counted and we are now at the right position in the affairs of the nation.
“No more bitterness and no more verminous statements but appreciation so that we can get more just like other regions that appreciate him and get more. Let’s appreciate and get more and support the President re-election.’’
