Singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, spent the night at the Lagos state police headquarters in Ikeja after he was arrested on Tuesday, May 14 over unpaid debt for his G-Wagon.
Had earlier reported that the singer was arrested following a petition from the car dealer who claimed the singer had purchased a G-Wagon from him at N27 million, paid only N13m and had refused to pay the N14m balance. The car dealer said efforts to get Portable to pay the balance or return the vehicle failed as the singer claimed the vehicle is faulty. The police secured a warrant of arrest for him and picked him up on yesterday.
