Shortly after the long-awaited list of ministerial nominees by the President was presented to the senate for screening, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has described President Buhari’s ministerial list as colourless, stagnant and uninspiring.
In a statement issued after the list was presented to the Senate on Tuesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, also said it does not convey any sense of hope or purposeful governance under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Ologbondiyan, the list is “replete with incompetent individuals who failed in their erstwhile ministerial assignments and left their ministries in a shamble.”
He further stated that “a committed and responsive leadership would have widely consulted with Nigerians before compiling a ministerial list, given the current situation in the country.
Beyond that, he took a swipe at the government for not including youths in the list of nominees.
According to him, the only way to escape from the present economic and security challenges lies in the retrieval of Atiku Abubakar’s stolen Presidential mandate alleged to have been stolen by the APC.
