The Super Eagles of Nigeria have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after thrashing Mozambique 4 – 0 at the Fez Stadium on Monday night.
Ademola Lookman found the net from Akor Adams’ square pass to open the scoring in the 20th minute, before Victor Osimhen doubled Nigeria’s lead before the break.
In the second half, Victor Osimhen got his brace almost immediately after being set up by Lookman again. The fourth goal came after Akor Adams lashed in a powerful effort from inside the area.
Nigeria also broke a record with their win, as it’s the first time they have won their first four matches in a row at an AFCON tournament.
Nigeria will face Algeria or DR Congo in the quarter-final on Saturday
