Three senators, Adamu Aliero (Kebbi Central), Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North), and Garba Maidoki (Kebbi South), have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All-Progressives Congress (APC).
In separate letters addressed to the Senate and read during Tuesday’s plenary by the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, who presided over the session, the defectors cited leadership crisis within the PDP for their action.
Recall that the senators held a closed-door with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday.
