A man identified as IDOWU SIKIRU has been arrested by men of the Nigerian police force after been alerted by the neighbour. Idowu was said to have used a heated pan to injure his son’s fingers and mouth for stealing fish, before the neighbours quickly intervene and alerted the Police.
Police were alerted by neighbours in Oke Soppen area of Ijebu Igbo who reported that Idowu Sikiru was about to kill his son Segun.
The boy has been hospitalized, but the commissioner of police in Ogun, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered Idowu be transferred to anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
